DEFINITION OF POSITION:
Provides health assessments, documentation and communication for emergency department patients. Assessments include health history, review of systems, symptom definition, and comprehensive and focused physical exams and plan of care. The Nurse Practitioner will also provide preventative care and education. Responsible for carrying out the mission, vision and quality commitment of Good Shepherd Health Care System.
Qualifications:
Education: Required: Completion of an accredited MSN program for nurse practitioners including preceptorship.
Experience: Required: Sufficient previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in a Emergency Department. Desired: Previous Clinical Experience.
Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations: Current RN and Advance Practice Registered Nurse license in the State of Oregon; ACLS/BLS/PALS/TNCC; Certifications specific to areas of clinical specialty preferred.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
