DD Program Supervisor/ Employment Counselor


Job Description:
Goodwill Industries of the Columbia is seeking a DD Program Supervisor/Employment Counselor to assist individuals with disabilities in preparing for and obtaining community employment. This position will assist program participants with the identification of job interests, skills, and barriers, and work with a team to develop innovative support strategies. This position will provide administrative support to successfully manage contracts and other partner relationships, as well as, provide hands-on support to individuals so that they can maintain long-term employment. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills, ability to work with a variety of people, and demonstrate a winning attitude.

Job tasks include:
Preparing program participants for community employment via hands-on job coaching and training.
Documentation of work with individuals served, including extensive written plans, reports, and notes.
Communication and collaboration with the support team to ensure placement plans, goals, and targets are met.
Collaborative work with participants and support networks to engage in job preparation and search activities (e.g., resume, mock interview, job applications, etc.).
Cold-calling and conducting personal visits with community employers to appropriately match employers with individuals.
Supporting individuals in new jobs through job coaching and retention services.
Leadership responsibilities within the team, including supervision of Disability Services staff.
Providing excellent customer service, including maintenance of healthy relationships with participants, funders, employers, transportation and residential providers, parents, and guardians.

JOB LOCATION: Goodwill Industries - Hermiston, OR

HOURS / DAYS / SCHEDULE: Full-time, salaried/exempt position. Days and hours are dependent on business needs, but will occur primarily Monday thru Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.
SALARY / WAGE /
Benefits: Starting wage is dependent on experience and qualifications. Introductory review after 90 days of employment followed by yearly performance reviews. Insurance benefits available.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
